A unique labyrinth of caves
We are going to explore Nonshauggrotta, a limestone cave and a real labyrinth, so map and compass are necessary to navigate inside. Here, nature has worked for thousands of years and made beautiful formations. There is everything, from large stalagmites to calcified bones of animals! We guarantee a great trip. After an hour walk, you will get to a window in the mountain. A drop of 70 meters gives us a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the view before we get moving again.
We can, if desired, spice up the conclusion of the tour by rappelling down out from this window
Description
We meet up in Gildeskål, go up a mountain, about 40 min. walk. Then we enter the 1.5 km long maze cave.
Some people can have claustrophobia. If you face your fear in a controlled manner is efficient, this trip lets you overcome it and you will be left with a great sense of achievement. We take professional cave pictures that you will get a copy of after your trip.
Safety
At Beyond Limits, we always focus on safety during our trips. We are using a local and competent guide, which is well known in the cave. Also, we have a carefully designed internal procedure with checklists and risk analyzes that we go through before entering the cave.
